After countless seasons of sorrow and dread for StarClan, they had finally given up on restoring the four lost Clans by the lake. ThunderClan, RiverClan, WindClan and ShadowClan would be no more. Until four cats, one from each Clan, got together and sent four cats a sign. Fearless, a rogue, received dreams from a warrior called Whitestorm. He taught her how to hunt and give respect to the prey they caught. Violet, a kittypet, gained information about herbs and Clans from Mothwing. Moon, a loner, received dreams from Barkface about how to heal other cats. Bay, another loner, learned special fighting techniques and about the Warrior Code from Blackstar.
Violet and Moon lived next door to each other and, once they learned about each other's dreams, swapped any information they could. When Bay and Fearless ended a fight with an impasse, they sought out treatment from local cats. The four cats destined by StarClan to save the Clans were united.
Once they all knew of the dreams they set out to find the lake which their Guardians had told them about. Together, and guided by their dreams, the four friends reached the lake. Fearless became Bravestar, leader of ThunderClan. Violet became Ultraviolet, medicine cat of RiverClan. Moon became Moonriver, medicine cat of WindClan. And Bay became Baysweet, warrior of ShadowClan.
The four Clans were reborn.
